Soon after he was elected, Steve Bullock signed an Executive Order directing the POW/MIA flag to be flown over the Montana Capitol indefinitely or until all unaccounted for and missing members of the American Armed Forces are returned home.
Steve made the most substantial investment into the full spectrum of veterans’ mental health services in our state’s history and has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between the many services and support the state provides and the veterans that most need our help to combat veteran suicide.
This past summer, Steve rolled out a plan that would provide a $2,000 tax credit to businesses that hire veterans and provide on-the-job training. He has also committed in his proposed $200 million infrastructure initiative to build a veterans’ home to serve veterans in southwest Montana.
